Why do you practice yoga? When was the last time you really thought about why you choose yoga? Do you see it purely as a workout? Is it just great exercise and a good stretch all in one? Do you like the variety that yoga offers in terms of styles and classes?
It is easy to get into a routine of practicing yoga without really thinking about what we are doing and why… but being more conscious about the many powerful benefits of yoga can make our practice far more useful to us by focusing the mind and our intention on what we hope to gain from our practice. Yoga does not stop when you roll up your mat and step off it. Yoga is a lifestyle based on respect for yourself and for others, love for life, people, nature.
Yoga, which means the union of mind, body and spirit, is a wonderful way to create balance from within. From this place of balance and calm, you can feel better prepared to face and enjoy life’s uncertainties. Even if you only want to enhance your physical fitness, the time spent in practice is fully worthwhile. Yoga exercises your whole body, works on stimulating and detoxing your liver, kidney, colon, and digestive system making your hormones work properly again. Yoga is a powerful medicine that can provide defenses against illness and injury as well as therapy and healing if you are suffering from mental, physical or emotional issues.
My goal is to create a yoga community that shares knowledge and experience supporting one another to lead more meaningful and joyful lives. I love teaching yoga and The Medicine Garden has magical energy that connects us all.
Come and join us and experience the many health benefits for yourself.
I teach two different types of yoga classes in The Dome every Monday, Wednesday and Friday:
Hot Power Yoga 9:30-10:45
Hot Power Yoga (Baptiste Style) is a powerful and dynamic yoga class practiced in a heated room. This energising yoga flow class massages and cleanses organs, increases metabolic rate and improves energy levels. It tones muscles, sculpt your body and flush out toxins for total body rejuvenation.
Holistic Yoga 11:00-12:00
Holistic Yoga is a gentle yoga class with a focus on stretching and toning muscles and working on massaging internal organs. This practice increases the metabolic rate, getting rid of waste and toxins, giving the organs a massage and the immune system a healthy boost.
