Blid & Hatton Gatherings is the brainchild of Surrey born chef Maddie Hatton and Swedish native Helga Blid-Martinsson who have teamed up to bring to life their vision of a creative studio where people can celebrate their love of food, as well as learn how to create beautifully delicious feasts.
The Blid & Hatton Gatherings studio is a destination and creative space for everyone interested in experiencing fresh, beautifully presented cooking with influences from Scandinavia, southern Europe and the Middle East.
Blid & Hatton Gatherings offers cookery workshops and pop-up events and can be hired as a venue for private dining events. The kitchen also serves as the base for Maddie Hatton’s event catering and in the future, the company plans to offer a collection service for weekend entertaining.
Who are Blid & Hatton?
Maddie Hatton has been a chef for more than fifteen years, working on a range of exclusive private dining events as well as in the corporate world. Her food is visually stunning (as well as delicious) and is inspired by her student days studying photography as well as a stint running the Designers’ Guild Cafe and working at Books For Cooks. “I love making the whole eating experience beautiful!” explains Maddie. “I’m passionate about mixing flavours from all types of cuisines.”
Helga Blid-Martinsson is originally from Stockholm, Sweden but has lived in the UK since 2000 when she came to study fashion communication in London. She has worked for Donna Karan and helped launch a scooter wear brand. Helga is responsible for business development and marketing.
