The End of a Magical Story.
It’s been 13 years, 3 children, 2 dogs, 10 chickens and a lot of blood, sweat and tears but now the time has come to close the chapter.
It was 2007 when I first embarked on pulling this magnificent garden back from a complete wilderness to what it has become over the last 9 years.
Regretfully we can no longer afford to keep the garden going, and with such an uncertain future ahead we have made the difficult decision to close the business and the site at the end of July.
There will be new operators coming in after a period of closure for refurbishment so Cobham and the wider community can still enjoy this unique space hopefully for many years to come.
I have so many people to thank for their help and support over the years on our jorney, especially my amazing family who have all grown up at the garden, Nick & Nik, my fellow founder directors, Mick for building most of the site with me, all the beautiful businesses we have had the pleasure of hosting, our social media followers and of course our amazing visitors who have all supported us since the first day we opened, and helped make the garden such a magical place.
I’ll be continuing on with my passion; designing and building gardens and outdoor spaces as well as offering creative consultancy for other businesses of this nature and look forward to new challenges ahead. If you would like me to be involved in any projects you have find out more at www.theplanthunters.co.uk
Whilst following social distancing guidelines, the site and shops will be re-opening from June the 15th until the end of July with a clearance sale of furniture and stock. The cafe will also be open serving outside only so please come down and grab a coffee and have one last look around.
Thank you all, stay safe and enjoy the nature around you.
