Come celebrate a birthday here with us

We have two spaces for hire for children’s parties: The Workshop and The Dome. Below is some information on both spaces including a link at the bottom to check availability and book online.

The Workshop

Situated overlooking our beautiful walled garden, The Workshop is the perfect venue for craft groups, classes and business meetings.

The Dome

Nestled in a corner of our Victorian walled garden, The Dome can hold up to 30 children. This all-weather geodesic structure is suitable for a variety of uses.

Max capacity
Up to 30 children with a picnic-style lunch set up. Or up to 25 children sat at tables.

Just to say the party went well, the food was delicious and Emma and the rest of the girls on the day were very helpful. Please thank them on my and my husband’s behalf. Everyone loved the party and the venue. Most of them hadn’t come to The Medicine Garden so it was a new experience for mums and dads too.


All catering is provided by The Garden Pod café.

The Medcine Garden Event Catering

Sorry but no food or drink is allowed to be brought on site other than baby food and a birthday cake. We can recommend the following local cake company: Once we receive your booking, your details will be passed to The Garden Pod Café who will contact you regarding your food order.

Good to know

  • You are welcome to decorate either space if you wish, but please do not use sticky tape on the walls or furniture.
  • You can set up half an hour before the party but please do not bring vehicles into the garden. We have some trolleys if required for party supplies.
  • We do ask that you ensure the area is cleaned up and vacated 30 minutes after your booking ends, in order for others to prepare for their parties and for us to shut the venue on time
  • Please note, due to noise restrictions, we can’t allow discos.
  • All prices quoted include VAT at 20%.
