The beginning of our community
Friends of The Medicine Garden began as the restoration commenced in November 08. The aim of the group is to start building our community and raise further funds required for the restoration of the garden, walls, buildings and the ongoing development of the project. The Medicine Garden has raised a proportion of independent funding however to complete the project to a fully finished standard we do also require additional fundraising. We also welcome the involvement of Friends in sharing any relevant special interests or experiences to further the development of any aspects of the project. Friends of The Medicine Garden will show their support for the project through membership, benefiting from a discount scheme applied to some purchases in the retail areas and on events.
The Medicine Garden Foundation LTD
Ltd by guarantee, our not-for-profit company is dedicated to restoring and maintaining the fabric of the site and garden for generations to come as well as educating the local community on many levels through our horticultural workshops.
We aim to bring back the key features of the original garden and courtyard as well as do important repairs to the structure of the site. Money raised by the Friends of and donations at our entrance will go into the foundation fund as well as a percentage of profits from the trading company each year. The foundation will ensure that the site maintains its integrity and keeps the balance between the trading element and the community resource.
FRIENDSHIP OPTIONS
All options are valid from Venue Opening for one year.
Individual membership (Click through to payment area)
£20 per annum for one adult, valid for 12months from date of issue Card will admit the member on each visit and offer discounts in the retail outlets and Medicine Garden Events.
Joint membership (Click through to payment area)
£35.00 per year for two adults, valid for 12 months from date of issue card will admit the member and or guest on each visit and offer discounts in the retail outlets and Medicine Garden events.
Family Membership (Click through to payment area)
£50 per annum for up to two adults and up to three children (5-16 years of age inclusive) valid for 12 months from date of issue. Card will admit members or one member and one guest plus three children on each visit and offer discounts in the retail outlets and Medicine Garden events.
