Horticulturist joins The Pineapple Store

Landscape Designer and Horticulturist Amanda Evans takes over garden plant sales

Ever wondered who’s responsible for the stunning planting in the main garden? Well that person is the very talented Landscape Designer and Horticulturalist Amanda Evans. From 1st June,  Amanda will be taking over garden plant sales as part of The Pineapple Store collective.

Colour Garden Plants, the name of the new business, will be stocking a carefully curated selection of Perennials, Herbs, Succulents, Bedding and Roses. Shrubs, Climbers and unusual plants will be added through the year. Amanda will be changing stock weekly, so encourages you to keep coming back for inspirational ideas on how to make the most of your garden. If you’re looking for advice on plants and gardening, Amanda will be on-site every weekend and often on Tuesdays and Thursdays too. If she’s not there, just leave your number with The Pineapple Store and she’ll call you back. Every month, there’ll be a free houseplant clinic where you can discover how to make that orchid flower more than once for example. And in the future Amanda plans to introduce a container planting service.

In the coming months, look out for  a series of workshops  including:

  • Choosing Roses, care and pruning
  • Planting for difficult areas
  • Planning your garden space
  • Planting your garden for colour and year round interest
  • Seasonal container planting ideas

All Colour Garden Plants workshop dates and times will be published on The Medicine Garden Facebook page and on Twitter, so follow now and don’t miss out.

Seasonal gardening tip

For a more sophisticated look, try grouping together pots of single plant types rather than mixing several things in one pot. You can then vary your display through the summer. Remember to include some Perennials too, as you can always plant them out at the end of the season.
