Louise Nason and Janice Webb are designer makers who specialize in printed, stitched, knitted and woven textiles for interiors. They love working collaboratively to design products to use in the home and have a passion for all things textile related. They will be working to develop a curated collection of their own and other carefully selected makers products in their working studio/shop space in the courtyard.
Louise Nason is pleased to be returning to The Medicine Garden continuing her textile design practice in a new venture as one half of Nason & Webb. Louise trained as a weaver and is an expert colourist using natural dyes, which allow her to create beautifully delicate graduations of colour in her textiles.
Inspiration for her designs comes from her studies of plants, landscapes and interest of light and shadows. Creating woven, embroidered and printed textiles for the home, Louise has been providing bespoke interior textiles design commissions to her clients since 2006.
Janice Webb is a printed textile designer who fuses original hand drawn and painted design and narrative on to dyed cloth and paper to produce unique contemporary art and design work, including textiles and prints for interiors.
She is inspired by the natural world, exhibitions and art and museum collections. She has exhibited at The Farnham Maltings, The James Hockey Gallery at UCA Farnham, The Lightbox Woking, Orleans House Gallery in Richmond, The Fashion and Textile Museum in Bermondsey and at the Calais Lace Museum in France.
