18 June
Raising Lots, Charity Auction Day
(in aid of the Riverhill Project)
1pm

Viewing: Fri 17 (3pm to 6pm) and Sat 18 (9.30 till noon)

A Salvador Dali limited edition signed print, a Mouseman table and a Victorian diamond set leap brooch are just a few of the many items going under the hammer at the ‘Raising Lots’ Charity Auction on Saturday 18th June.

Jewellery, watches, art, china, silverware, copperware, glassware, Chinese daggers, books, dinky toys, and even a Paddington Bear will be up for auction after the success of a free Valuation Day organised by the Cobham Conservation and Heritage Trust (CCHT) at The Medicine Garden in Cobham.

Award winning Auctioneers Wellers of Chertsey will be presiding over the event which will help to raise funds for the CCHT’s Riverhill Regeneration Project.

This project which is the CCHT’s most ambitious community project to date, aims to restore and regenerate the riverbank area at the end of the High Street to its former glory, creating a tranquil and educational space for future generations to enjoy.

The project also aims to substantially upgrade the footpath from the Tilt to the High Street to provide access for those with restricted mobility.

Gerry Acher, Chairman of the CCHT said “The generosity of Wellers Auctioneers and The Medicine Garden whom have freely donated their expertise and facilities for the benefit of this project, and the unwavering support of the local people of Cobham, has overwhelmed us.

We have already successfully raised £107,000 of the £125,000 needed to complete the project, and we hope this event will significantly close the gap on the funding required. The estimates for the lots in the auction range from £10 to £800 in value so there should be something to suit every pocket and make it a really exciting day.”

All commissions from the auction will kindly be donated by Wellers Auctioneers to the Riverhill Regeneration Project.
