Local and much-loved florist The White Orchid has just opened in our courtyard.
Many will remember The White Orchid and owner Nicole Liew from York Road in Weybridge. The shop closed about a year ago, but Nicole continued successfully running The White Orchid from her home studio. When a space recently became available in our courtyard, Nicole approached us about relocating the business and we agreed without a moment’s hesitation.
The White Orchid sells flowers, bouquets and potted arrangements coupled with a small range of vintage garden furniture. Nicole also designs flowers for events and weddings.
A series of workshops are being planned in our courtyard too. The first one is scheduled for March and participants will learn how to arrange a basket of flowers or a hand-tied posy for Mothers’ Day. The cost of the morning workshop will be £45, including all flowers, a light lunch plus tea and cake. Details of how to book will be announced shortly on our Facebook page.
Nicole Liew began her career in fashion. She delved into floristry at The Jane Packer School of Flowers as a hobby, but after just four weeks was hooked. After serving an apprenticeship with a Belgian floral designer, Nicole established The White Orchid. In 2012, she won her first medal at The Hampton Court Palace Flower Show. Nicole specialises in event floristry and has acquired a loyal following of clients over the past 12 years, who love her style and the choice of flowers used in her creations.
